COST Action funds interdisciplinary research networks to bring researchers, innovators and other professionals from Europe, including industry specialists, together. The collaboration effort on research topics can last up to 4 years.
The funding covers the expenses of networking activities rather than research, and thus it can be used to organise and fund events, Short-term Scientific Missions, Training Schools, communication activities, and virtual networking tools.
You can submit your proposal to the annual open call and establish your own network. Your network must fulfill certain criteria, such as including researchers from at least seven COST Member countries, half of whom come from Inclusiveness Target Countries (ITC). The next collection date will be 23 October 2024 at 12.00 (noon) CEST.
Alternatively, you can join an existing COST network.
Participation in COST Actions has led to significant results and follow-up in terms of the number of proposals submitted for EU collaborative research grants, with a success rate which more than triple the average success rates for these programmes (37% success rate).
